KOREA beyond DMZ is ALL you need for the trip to Korea, an independent publication launched in September 2024 by Alfonso Lee. The term "DMZ" signifies the ongoing impact of the Korean War's scars while also expressing a hopeful vision for a peaceful and prosperous Korea, which inspired the full title of this site.

Alfonso has been working as a tour guide in Korea since 2018. Owing to his military experience as an MP at Camp Casey with the U.S. 2nd Infantry Division in Korea from 1991 to 1993, he started to focus on DMZ tours. He now introduces foreign visitors to all regions of Korea, acting as an unofficial ambassador. Through this virtual space, he will expand his horizons to more foreigners interested in Korea.
